President William Ruto has insisted that the Kenya Kwanza administration will run its business through the bottom-up approach. 

Speaking during the Cabinet retreat in Nanyuki, the President said all interventions must be from the bottom -up. 

“It must be clear that the whole of government approach will be bottom-up. We have agreed all our interventions must be from the bottom-up," he said. 

Ruto said his government will not be defined by processes and bureaucracies, but by decisions and results. 

"We must never be defined by processes and bureaucracies, we should be defined by decisions and results. That’s how I want this government to work for the people of Kenya," he said. 

The President said the main agenda of the retreat is to consolidate the government’s plan for the turnaround of the economy with a focus on agriculture, value addition and manufacturing.

"When we work together, we will protect the interests of the people, deliver on our pledges and move the country to prosperity," he said. 

All Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, among other government officials were present.

Also in attendance were Attorney General Justin Muturi and retired Chief Justice David Maraga.
