Floods have hit several parts of Nairobi following the Monday afternoon downpours.
Several shops were closed as citizens rushed home to escape the heavy rains.
Kenya Metrological Department has said Kenyans should brace for more rains.
In the latest forecast, Met department projected rainfall is expected to continue in most part of the country.
In Nairobi, residents should expect rains in the morning from Tuesday, through to Saturday, November 19, showers in the afternoon.
The maximum temperature expected will be 27 degree Celsius, while the minimum will be 7 degree Celsius.
In a statement, the department said that spatial distribution is likely to continue being poor in the Coast, the Southeastern lowlands, Northeastern and Northwestern Kenya.
"Isolated storms are likely to occur in some parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central and South Rift Valley,the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, the South-eastern Lowlands, the Coast and North-eastern Kenya," the statement reads.
