Garners 46,451 votes against his Azimio counterpart Raila Odinga

UDA presidential candidate William Ruto has won big in Buuri constituency, Meru county.

He garnered 46,451 votes against his Azimio counterpart Raila Odinga who got 7,167 votes.

Roots leader George Wajackoyah came in third with 206 votes while Agano's candidate David Mwaure got 78 votes.

The number of registered voters in the Buuri constituency is 82,341 and those who cast their votes were 53,902.

The total number of rejected votes is 483.

IEBC must verify ballot papers from 290 constituencies and results from the Diaspora to announce the president-elect.

As of Monday morning, the commission had verified ballot papers for more than 208 constituencies.
