UDA presidential candidate William Ruto has polled the highest number of votes at Kabuchai constituency in Bungoma.

Ruto leads with 32,216 votes against his Azimio counterpart Raila Odinga who got 10,796 votes.

Roots George Wajackoyah managed 271 votes while David Mwaure of Agano got 192 votes.

There were 67,222 registered voters in the constituency and 43,475 electorate cast their votes.

The number of rejected votes was 479.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission must verify ballot papers from 291 constituencies and diaspora results before announcing the presidential winner.
