
Kenya’s fixed data internet market remains highly competitive, with several providers vying for subscribers in homes and businesses across the country.
According to data from the Communications Authority of Kenya, Safaricom leads the market with a 34.9 per cent share, maintaining its position as the largest fixed internet provider.
Jamii Telecom, popularly known through its Faiba brand, follows with a 20.1 per cent market share, while Ahadi Wireless and Poa Internet account for 11.1 per cent and 10.7 per cent respectively.
Mawingu Networks holds 9 per cent, with Vilcom Network controlling 5.4 per cent of the market.
Other notable players include Wananchi Group, the parent company of Zuku, at 4.2 per cent, and Starlink at 3.7 per cent.
The entry of satellite internet services has introduced new competition, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
The figures highlight growing demand for reliable broadband connectivity as more Kenyans embrace digital services, remote work, online learning, streaming and e-commerce, driving expansion across the fixed internet sector.
