False: Jubilee Party dismisses alleged drafted list of party leaders

Alleged that Ruto will be replaced by Lee Kinyanjui, Keynan, and Maison Leshomo.

The ruling Jubilee Party has dismissed the list being circulated on social media claiming to be the drafted names of the new leaders of the party who will be unveiled during the National Delegates Convention on November 30, 2021.

According to the letter that has been flagged out as fake by the party, the names of at least 13 leaders have been listed as the next people who will revamp the party ahead of the 2022 general elections.

The letter alleged that:

President Uhuru Kenyatta will be retained as the party leader and deputized by the three members including Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui, Adan Keynan, and Maison Leshomo, hence replacing replace the current Deputy Party leader, DP William Ruto.

Also, the list mentioned Nelson Dzuya as the chairman, and David Murathe retained as the Deputy Chairperson, and Raphael Tuju removed from his current Secretary-General post and replaced by Priscilla Nyokabi who will be deputised by Joshua Kutuny and Fwamba Fwamba.

Other names include: Kanini Kega director of Elections, Stephen Tarus (Director of Political Liaison), Ngunjiri Wambugu as the Director of Strategy, Maoka Maore (National Organising Secretary), Sabina Chege (President of Women League), and Alex Matere picked as the President of the Youth League while Charles Munyui as the party spokesperson.

Tuju had said that during the next conference, they will review, formulate and approve all party policies.

They will also consider, amend, review or ratify the rules and regulations of the party to ensure compliance with the constitution of Kenya, Political Parties Act, and Elections Act.

"Take Notice, a meeting of the National Delegates Convention shall be held at 10:00am on the 30th day of November 2021 at Kasarani," Tuju said.
