As the 2022 political battle takes shape, politicians are trying all tricks in the book. A highly-ranked Tangatanga official is said to have coordinated dozens of youths in Nyeri on Sunday to stage a disruption of a visit by Deputy President William Ruto (pictured) and then blame it on the state. The official was allegedly the central player in the stage-managed chaos to paint the police in bad light. However, his rivals, including a Member of Parliament from the region nipped the plan in the bud, sending Tangatanga back to the drawing board. He exposed the politician in the wee hours of Sunday, putting security on high alert.

Is a public officer bankrolling efforts to form a regional political party in Nyanza? It has emerged that the officer has kicked off the process of registering the Saiga Ngiya political party. The name, meaning beautiful hut, has been criticised for portraying and advancing a tribal agenda. However,  there are also fears that it could hurt ODM boss Raila Odinga's efforts to consolidate the community ahead of the 2022 polls. The move is said to be backed by some professionals allegedly pursuing personal gains. Whether it could trigger some internal turmoil among leaders from the region is only a matter of time. Already, a serving public officer has been earmarked to run for governor on the new party's ticket. The party will also field candidates in all other elective seats.

The "wash wash" leader is said to have a private apartment in Kilimani area where he shares rent with a sitting Member of Parliament. The house is not only an upmarket brothel but also a "wash wash" nerve centre. After months of investigations, already police officer in the region who are said to have been sympathetic to the gang have all been transferred as the authorities plot to move in. The apartment is known for hosting night parties where "wash wash" squad members indulge in hard substances consumption and sex orgies.

A political showdown is looming in a county in Western Kenya. This is after a gubernatorial frontrunner took to social media crying foul over a plot by the a political party to jeopardize  his bid for the big seat  next year. The ex-lawmaker listed a couple of names he alleged his party is fronting in a bid to scuttle his bid. He has claimed that the party has deployed its political might to frustrate his bid for the county's top seat but warned that he is no pushover as well.
