A highly-ranked Tangatanga official is said to have coordinated dozens of youths in Nyeri on Sunday to stage a disruption of a visit by Deputy President William Ruto (pictured) and then blame it on the state. The official was allegedly the central player in the stage-managed chaos to paint the police in bad light. However, his rivals, including a Member of Parliament from the region nipped the plan in the bud, sending Tangatanga back to the drawing board. He exposed the politician in the wee hours of Sunday, putting security on high alert.
