

A man
hit and killed his elder brother in a dispute over a piece of land in Konoin
area, Bomet county.
Police
said Gilbert Kipkoech, 42, died in hospital, where he had been rushed to
following the incident at the weekend.
The deceased
and his younger brother had quarrelled over ownership of a piece of land in the area before the dispute turned physical.
Police
said the assailant picked up a piece of wood that he used to hit his brother in
the head fatally injuring him.
The man was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to the injuries hours later, police said. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
The police said
the suspected assailant was later arrested in the area pending arraignment on Monday, November 24.
In Nyangusu, Kisii county, a woman was found murdered and
her brains scattered at the scene.
Police said the woman had a deep cut on the head when the
body was found on Saturday in the Ritumbe area.
She did not have identification documents then.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an
identification and autopsy.
In Mashuuru, Kajiado county, three workers of a farm were
arrested over the murder of their colleague in a dispute over money.
The three are alleged to have killed their colleague in an argument over money from sales of butter nuts at a farm they worked.
The deceased is said to have sold the products and failed to remit or share the money.
This prompted the three to beat him up, and he succumbed to the injuries later on Friday before the suspects were arrested.
The body was moved to the mortuary.
In Mulot, Narok county, a man identified as Nicholas Koskei died
in hospital after being assaulted in a dramatic attack.
Police said the victim had head injuries. His body was
moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
The assailant
escaped the scene, police said adding a hunt on him is ongoing.
Elsewhere in Nairobi’s Korogocho area, one Edward Mwaura
died in hospital after he had been assaulted in the Grogon area on October 29.
He succumbed to his injuries at the Kenyatta National Hospital, police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy
and hunt on the assailants.
Murder cases have been on the rise amid efforts to solve them. Police say up to eight cases are reported daily.
