Police in Nyandarua County have launched investigations into
the shocking murder of an 11-year-old boy whose mutilated body was discovered
on a farm in Magumu area, off the Nairobi–Naivasha highway.
The boy, who had been reported missing for a day, was found
dead on October 30, his head severed, the motive behind the murder remains
unclear.
According to police, the child’s body was discovered in a
maize plantation by residents who alerted authorities.
Officers who visited
the scene confirmed that the deceased had been identified by his mother, who
said her son had left home on October 29 and never returned.
At the scene, detectives recovered a two-kilogram packet of
maize flour, some clothes, and several empty carrier bags believed to have
belonged to the victim.
Police noted that the body bore no other visible injuries
apart from the decapitation, adding that it had been moved to the mortuary for
postmortem and further investigations.
The gruesome incident has left the Magumu community in shock
as police intensify efforts to establish the motive and track down those behind
the heinous act.
Elsewhere, in Nyamira County, police are pursuing a man
suspected of killing his wife in a domestic dispute in Rigoma village.
The 42-year-old
woman, identified as Nancy Ongeri, was reportedly slashed to death in her house
following an altercation with her husband on October 30.
Investigators said the victim sustained deep cuts on her
face, forehead, cheeks, and chest.
Residents told police that the couple had been embroiled in
frequent domestic wrangles before the fatal incident.
The suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack and
is still at large.
Police have launched a manhunt for the assailant and urged
him to surrender to the nearest police station.
The woman’s body was
taken to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Meanwhile, in Vihiga County, detectives are probing another
brutal murder after a man was found dead with deep cuts on his head, throat,
and left ankle in Mbale area.
Officers who visited the scene said the victim’s genitals
had been severed and were missing.
Investigators believe the man may have been murdered
elsewhere and his body dumped at the location.
A wallet containing Sh2,000 was found in the victim’s
pocket, indicating that robbery might not have been the motive.
The body was taken to the mortuary for postmortem examination
as investigations continue.
By Sunday, November 2, 2025, no arrests had been made in
connection with the killings, which witnesses described as disturbing.
