The service was held at the African Divine Church, Gamalenga in Vihiga county.

Ruto was accompanied by several leaders from the region, including CS Wycliffe Oparanya and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

Ruto has been in the Western region on a four-day development tour.
