National prayer breakfast date rescheduled

The 20th National Prayer Breakfast has been rescheduled to June 7.

It had initially been scheduled to take place on May 31.

In a statement on Tuesday, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula said the change was occasioned by factors beyond control.

"This is to inform you that the 20th National Prayer Breakfast which was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 31st May 2023 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, 7th June 2023," the statement read.

Wetang’ula regretted the changes and apologised to Kenyans for the inconvenience caused.

The prayer breakfast is themed ‘Reconciliation with God and with Man’.

The event will be held at Safari Park Nairobi and will be graced by more than 2,500 guests.

During the event, the leaders are expected to address issues that are currently affecting Kenyans.
