Azimio leaders who were arrested during Monday protests are expected at the Kahawa Law Courts on Thursday.

They include; Senate and National Assembly Minority leaders Stewart Madzayo and Opiyo Wandayi, MPs Amina Mnyazi (Malindi), Ken Chonga and Ousborne Yogo.

The five will be charged for taking part in the demos called by Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

CAS court case

A case challenging the nomination of CASs to be mentioned today for directions.

A  Kenyan citizen residing in UK is seeking to nullify the decision of President William Ruto to create an additional 27 CAS positions.

Eliud Karanja Matindi says the decision by Ruto to nominate fifty persons for approval to be appointed to the office of CAS, in the full knowledge that only 23 positions were created and recruited for is a gross violation of the constitution.

MPs summon CS 

Cabinet secretaries Eliud Owalo (ICT) and Njuguna Ndung'u (Treasury) are among those lined up to appear before MPs probing the controversial buyback of Telkom Kenya.

MP graft case

Court to deliver judgment in a case where Nakuru west MP Samuel Arama has asked the court to quash his conviction and sentencing in a Sh60 million graft case.

Arama has challenged his conviction saying the evidence tendered by the prosecution was insufficient and the same should be reversed.

Arama was in March this year found guilty for defrauding a businessman of his land worth shs 60 million. He and four others were convicted of conspiracy to defraud charges.

Ruto Kisii tour

At least three governors allied to opposition Chief Raila Odinga will be on focus over the next three days as President William Ruto tours South Nyanza for three days.

The trip comes against the backdrop of a major political standoff between Ruto and the opposition with some governors allied to Raila opposed to the President.

The three Governors arev Simba Arati (Kisii), Amos Nyaribo(Nyamira) and Ochillo Ayacko(Migori) are all allied to Raila's Azimio coalition.

CAS swear in

President William Ruto will witness swearing in of 50 Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) on Thursday at a function in State House.

The CAS nominees were gazetted on Wednesday by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei.
