"Whatever they do, I think the fire is not going to burn. If the people so desire to go State House, we shall go there."

Orengo said that in other countries, people are allowed to demonstrate in the president's residence.

His sentiments come after Raila called for mass action to match to State House to present their petitions to President William Ruto.

Raila, however, clarified that only a few individuals will walk into the State House if allowed.

"We will hand over our petition to the President wherever he will be, but peacefully… If he will be at State House, only two or three people will walk into State House to go and present the petition," he said while speaking in an interview with Citizen TV.

The Azimio leader said in case the President would not want to receive it, they will paste the petition at the gate of the State House, or hand it over to the guards.

On Monday, Raila led a group of protesters to demonstrate in towns around Nairobi.

He was set o address the press at Serena Hotel but was denied access.
