Bullet hits vehicle carrying Raila - Makau Mutua

Azimio la Umoja spokesperson Makau Mutua has claimed the vehicle carrying ODM leader Raila Odinga has been hit by a bullet.

Mutua was also in the same car, allegedly hit with a bullet.

In a tweet on Monday, Mutua shared images of a badly damaged windscreen faulting the police for the developments.

"A bullet has hit our vehicle in which Baba Raila Odinga is riding," he said.

Raila Odinga and his team were denied access to KICC  and the Central Business District at large where he was to meet his supporters.

They were met with water cannons and teargas while exiting Serena to the venue. 

This prompted them to attempt different routes of getting to CBD after police barricaded most routes.

The convoy passed through Juja Road.
