Safaricom has restored its overdraft service Fuliza after a system downtime that affected some customers on Wednesday. 

Several customers complained that they were unable to transact via the overdraft service for a couple of hours. 

"We are aware of the issue and are working on resolving it. Apologies for the inconvenience caused," the telco said.

The downtime was reported by several social media users at around 3 pm.

A source from Safaricom told the Star the problem had been resolved but the company was yet to issue an official statement.

Other MPesa services were not affected by the outage.
