Dating older men and older women will break you, Second Lady Dorcas Gachagua has warned youths.

Dorcas warned against the act which has been seen as a ‘trend’, especially on social media

“I don’t know if the name 'mumama' or 'mubaba' rings a bell to you, I beg you as a mother, be careful,” Gachagua said.

She spoke when she attended a boychild's event at the University of Nairobi.

The Second Lady said the choice of a partner can either make or break a young person.

“Peer and social media pressure besides 'mubaba' and 'mumama' is destroying our students not just in UoN but it’s a national concern,” she said.

The two are street names to describe an older person who is in a relationship with a young person.

Dorcas warned the UoN students from visiting a street in town which she said has ‘fishy activities.’

“May God help us. Maybe they are strangers to you but am not a foreigner in this city,” she said.
