Itumbi, Sossion to face panel as PSC begins CAS interview

The Public Service Commission (PSC) will today begin interviewing candidates for the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) positions.

A total of 240 candidates from more than 4,000 who applied were shortlisted.

They are all squaring off for the 22 available slots. In the five-day marathon exercise, 48 candidates will be interviewed today.

Among those lined up to appear on the first day are former Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal, former Narok deputy governor Evalyn Aruasa, Wilson Sossion, Dennis Itumbi, Isaac Mwaura, Thomas Letangule, Charles Njagua, Margaret Wanjiru and Fred Seghor.

In a schedule released by the commission, each of the candidates has been allocated 30 minutes.

They are appearing between 8:30 am -3:30 pm.

Several panels made up of the commissioners have been set up to grill the individuals on their suitability for the lucrative jobs.

"Candidates should bring originals of academic and professional certificates and transcripts and valid clearances from the Kenya revenue authority, higher education loans board, registered credit reference bureau and police clearance certificate," a notice from the Commission reads in part.

Besides this, candidates are expected to bring a printed online self-declaration application acknowledgement receipt or a self-declaration form duly stamped by the EACC.

Members of the public were required to submit any information relating any of the shortlisted candidates by Tuesday.
