Sports and youth affairs CS Ababu Namwamba said he is committed to supporting young raw talents as part of the ministry's quest to build a talented team.

The CS was speaking on Wednesday after he met with 12-year-old Master Teule Kilonzo Nguli at the Jabali Christian Centre School.

Nguli who is a budding footballer shared his young football journey and his dreams of one day playing for the national soccer team Harambee Stars.

He calls himself the Sports CS in the school.

Namwamba said the plans will go towards realising the football vision 2030 agenda of getting Harambee Stars to make it to the World Cup.

"We have begun our rebuilding process for our national football team and are looking to tap into young talents to feed into this team," Namwamba said.

"We are running this rebuild through our flagship project #TalantaHela and are keen to draft young talents such as Master Teule to this program."

Nguli on his part challenged the CS who he considers his idol, to a game of football which the CS accepted.
