Ledama to Kioni: Tell Uhuru to speak to Jubilee members

His statement comes as President Ruto held a meeting with 32 MPs from the party.

Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has called on Jubilee party leaders to speak to its members.

Speaking on Wednesday, Olekina said that secretary general Jeremiah Kioni should reach out to retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is Jubilee's party leader

"Jeremiah Kioni. Please ask Uhuru to come and speak to your members or all of them will fold," he said.

His statement comes as President William Ruto held a meeting with 32 MPs from the Jubilee party.

This is the second time, the members were meeting with him at State  House this year.

In the Wednesday meeting, Jubilee legislators pledged to work and support the government.

"We want to be part of this government having been together before the last elections," Eldas MP Adan Keynan said.

"At this rate, we will close down our Jubilee house and join you because we are one," Laikipia North MP Sarah Korere said.

"We don't want to feel left out in your government so we kindly request you to include us in your development plans," nominated MP Sabina Chege said.

Ruto who was Jubilee's deputy party leader was kicked out of the party in February 2022, during a National Delegates Convention.

The NDC was presided over by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta who is also the party leader.

On March 2, 2o22, Gachagua who was then the Mathira MP quit the Jubilee party and joined UDA.

As a result, the Jubilee exodus began with Ruto allies joining UDA.
