She noted that some of the matatus have been operating at the said points since she was a child.

"Governor Sakaja, Kaka Travellers are historic in Nairobi. Kaka stage in Tom Mboya Nairobi is synonymous with Kaka Matatus from Githunguri since I was a child," Wamuchomba said on Tuesday.

"They were evicted and replaced with your preference."

The MP noted that she held a meeting with the Nairobi Governor over the issues a fortnight ago and he promised to find a solution, which he has not.

She added that she has been quiet for the past six months over the matter and it has not been easy.

Wamuchomba told Sakaja to heed the advice given by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and let matatus continue to operate in the CBD.

"Two weeks ago, I came to see you over the hot issue, you promised to find a solution, to date! Our DP has now spoken; take the wise counsel, Leave our Matatus alone. Keeping quiet over this issue for over 6 months doesn't mean we are stupid! We are only patient."

Her remarks come after DP Gachagua warned Sakaja on plans to eject matatus from Nairobi CBD.

Speaking on Monday, Gachagua said that the removal of matatus from the CBD will disrupt business.

"I shall sit down with Sakaja because we are the ones who elected him. We must first discuss anything which can disrupt business in Nairobi. We do not need a lot of speed, go slow," he said.

This is after Sakaja directed that the long-distance matatus should move to Green Park terminus effectively.

The long-distance matatus, however, got a reprieve after the High Court temporarily stopped their move.
