Kiamwangi MCA Kungu Smart said the exercise will be entrenched at the grassroots level to help Kenyans.

He said MCAs will support the initiative as it promotes universal health care.

He said access to health care for all is an integral part of President William Ruto’s manifesto.

He said that the government is ready to speed up the much-needed National Health Insurance Fund reforms so that Kenyans from all cadres can benefit.

"We support the governor and we will mobilise people to register at the grassroots level," he said.

About a month ago, the Murang'a county government launched a similar program targeting more than 20,000 homesteads.
