Lonyangapuo said that there are better ways of airing grievances rather than causing a threat to democracy.

"The Azimio coalition represents the greatest threat to democracy, the rule of law, and national cohesion in our nation's recent history.

"Arising thereof, today we lay bare the instrument that were meant to hold the coalition together and to guide our path forward so that Kenyans may see the deceitful nature of the current arrangement," he said.

Lonyangapuo said that the KUP party has been disregarded in the Azimio coalition.

He said that the concluded EALA nominations exposed Azimio as a dynastic enterprise.

"The just concluded EALA nominations affirm Azimio is a dynastic enterprise that in reality is a personal vessel for a chosen few," he said.

Raila said that the Kamukunji event scheduled for Wednesday is aimed at bringing Kenyans together to share ideas on nation-building.

"The Kamukunji event on Wednesday is a public consultative forum. It is not a call to public protest. It is not maandamano. It is a coming together of Kenyans to share views on the state of affairs in the country," he said.
