TSC boss Macharia takes boat ride to deliver KCSE exams in Kilifi

Teachers Service Commission CEO Nancy Macharia went an extra mile on Monday morning when she rode on a boat to deliver exams.

Macharia opened KCSE exam containers in Kilifi Town container then oversaw exam activities in the area.

Photos shared on the commissions' Twitter account showed Macharia in the company of police officers and other officials.

She is also seen having folded her trousers and walking barefoot in the water.

Several officials took part in opening exam containers on the second day of KCSE exams across the country.

Knec CEO David Njengere was in Nairobi, Kamukunji subcounty then proceeded to Maina Wanjigi Secondary School.

KICD chairman Charles Ongondo was also in Kilifi county at the Malindi deputy county commissioners' office.

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu was expected to open the exam containers at the Langata DCC office but could not make it due to prior engagements.

Early learning and basic education PS Belio Kipsang was at the Westlands DCC exam container.

KCSE theory papers officially began on Friday morning with 884,263 candidates sitting exams across the country.

The students started with English Paper 1 and later finished the day with Chemistry Paper 1.

Today they are sitting Maths Paper 1 and English Paper 2.
