Narok Senator Olekina Ledama has urged leaders to know that power is not permanent so they should treat those beneath them better.
The Senator's sentiments were in relation to the recent petition to oust four IEBC commissioners.
"Leaders must learn from history that power is not permanent it is transient. So today punish the IEBC official as much as you can or desire, celebrate in fact toast to your success, but tomorrow is coming and you to will cry. Glands above your eyes will be at work," he tweeted.
IEBC vice-chairperson Juliana Cherera and commissioner Justus Nyang'aya have already resigned and will not be facing tribunal.
Francis Wanderi and Irene Masit are yet to resign amid reports that they could also throw in the towel in the coming hours to avoid a tribunal trial.
On November 24, Ledama told off President William Ruto over the move to remove the four dissenting IEBC commissioners.
In a statement he said the process to oust the commissioners was unwarranted since Ruto is now President.
"Isn’t ironic that you now want to punish IEBC commissioners yet you got the victory? Stop this unnecessary fights. Not worth it," he said.
Four petitions were filed for the removal of Cherera and commissioners Masit, Wanderi and Nyang'aya.
The four fell out with IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati during the August presidential elections, exposing a rift in the electoral agency.
The comissioners denounced the results that gave Ruto victory against Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader Raila Odinga.
