A delegation from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission will today visit various counties and hold consultative forums.

The team led by commissioner John Ogallo will in the morning hold a consultative forum with the Makueni government.

The meeting to be held at Governor Mutula Kilonzo's office, will touch on strategies for prevention of corruption in county operations.

“EACC will launch monitoring of the implementation of its reform recommendations, previously made in a report following a review of the county's operational systems to seal corruption loopholes,” EACC said.

A similar exercise will take place in Nyeri as part of the commission’s mandate to prevent corruption by undertaking systems review in any public entity, either on its own motion or on invitation by the public entity.

On Friday, they called on counties that are yet to submit names of their county executive committee nominees for integrity vetting and clearance to do so.

This has to be done prior to making any appointments.

The commission is mandated with enforcing Chapter Six of the Constitution which deals with leadership and integrity.
