Lawyer Miguna Miguna has termed the move by Azimio leaders to call for mass action as a move to seek attention and sympathy.

This is after the opposition chief Raila Odinga this week tipped the country for mass action.

The ongoing process to kick out the four IEBC commissioners who disowned the August 9 presidential results, could be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Miguna Miguna in a tweet called for the police to offer an escort to the demonstrators should they take to the streets instead of clobbering them adding that Raila won’t even attend the demos.

“When the Azimio desperados call for mass action, they are looking for attention and sympathy.

"They hope to be clobbered. Instead, the police should offer them escort and protection and let them demonstrate. Conman Raila Odinga won’t even attend. And it will be over in 2 days!” he added.

Raila has insisted that Azimio would explore every avenue to stop the removal of the four commissioners, including calling for mass action.

President William Ruto has vowed to have the commissioners-Juliana Cherera, Justus Chang'aya, Irene Masit and Wanderi Kamau- punished for trying to subvert the will of the people.

President Ruto and opposition chief Raila Odinga are locked in a nasty political war.

The crux of their fight revolves around Ruto’s plot to kick out four IEBC commissioners who rejected the August 9 presidential election results and Kenya Kwanza's scheme to raid the opposition.

In 2017, Raila's then Nasa coalition escalated street protests against President Uhuru Kenyatta's government, in which Ruto served as deputy.
