President William Ruto has said his government is determined to enhance budgetary allocations to the Judiciary.
This, he says, will support the bottom-up delivery of justice.
Ruto spoke on Friday during the official launch of the State of the Judiciary and Administration of Justice Annual Report led by the Chief Justice Martha Koome.
The President said the bottom-up approach aims at a socio-economic transformation of shared prosperity, where no is left behind.
He further mocked the leadership by the Scotland Yard in respecting constitutions and warned to eliminate those against the Constitution.
"We will eliminate those opposed to the Constitution. We don’t need the Scotland Yard to lead us in respecting institutions, we can follow and empower our institutions," Ruto said.
The President further said he will support the delivery of justice by helping increase the number of small claims courts, High Court stations and supporting the judiciary’s digitisation programme.
He also said he will give firm instructions of provision of digital cameras in Nairobi to support delivery of justice on traffic cases.
"The state of the Judiciary matters because the government's mandate is to ensure stability, enforce law and order, maintain security and guarantee safety directly, which relies on the existence of an effective and legal system," Ruto said in his speech.
He however asked the Judiciary not to give a safe haven to people running away from paying tax.
The President said every citizen should carry their potion of the burden of running the affairs of the country.
