Ruto, first lady Rachel arrive for Mashujaa celebrations

Ruto’s convoy left the State House to Uhuru Gardens at around 10:45am and arrived at 11:02am.

President William Ruto and Kenya’s first lady Rachel Ruto have arrived at Uhuru gardens for Mashujaa day fete.

Ruto’s convoy left the State House to Uhuru Gardens at around 10:45am and arrived at 11:02am.

Dressed in a black suit and red tie, President Ruto entered his ceremonial open Land-Rover.

He waved to the ecstatic crowd chanting messages of welcome as he was taken around the arena while being escorted by presidential motorcade.

 

As he went round for the last time in his presidency, the Kenyan patriotic song “ Kenya Kenya Kenya taifa letu” was played.

At 11:12, Ruto stopped for Kenya's national anthem to be sang which was followed by the East Africa.

The President  then proceeded and inspected guard of honour , where he walked majestically passing the military with Chief of Defence Forces General Robert Kibochi following behind him.

Ruto then proceeded to the Dais at 11:20 where he greeted officials starting with his Deputy.

He eventually took his seat next to First Lady Rachel Ruto who was dressed in a green Africa ankara top and skirt.
