Most parts of the country are likely to be sunny and dry for at least five days, the Met has said.
The five-day forecast was issued on Tuesday and will be valid until Sunday.
However, rainfall is expected over some parts of the Highlands west of Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, Central Rift Valley and the Highlands East of Rift Valley.
Director David Gikungu of the Kenya Meteorological Department said rains are expected from Wednesday until Friday morning in Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot.
On Saturday morning, expect sunny intervals before rain over a few places on Sunday morning.
Showers and thunderstorms over several places are expected in the afternoons.
Temperatures in the affected counties will range from 07 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius.
In Turkana and Samburu, sunny morning intervals will experienced from Thursday up to Sunday.
Temperatures in the two counties will range from 10 degrees Celsius to 36 degrees Celsius.
Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka and Nairobi counties will be sunny in the morning, then cloudy from Thursday to Sunday.
In the afternoon, the counties will experience showers over a few places until Sunday.
Temperatures in the 10 counties will range from 04 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees.
In Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo, sunny intervals will be experienced from Thursday morning to Sunday morning.
Afternoons will also be sunny in the five counties while nights will be partly cloudy.
Temperatures will ranges from 14 degrees Celsius to 38 degrees.
Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado and Taita Taveta will experience sunny intervals in the mornings and afternoons until Sunday while nights will be partly cloudy.
Temperatures in the five counties will range from 09 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees.
Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale Counties will on Thursday morning have sunny intervals that giving way to showers in some places from Friday until Sunday.
Sunny intervals will be experienced on Thursday and Friday afternoon, with showers over a few places on Saturday and sunny intervals on Sunday.
At night, partly cloudy conditions will be experienced on Thursday with a chance of showers over a few places on Friday and partly cloudy conditions on Sunday.
Temperatures in the five counties will range from 20 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees.

During the season,most areas will have generally poor distribution of rainfall in both time and space.
The forecast also indicates the start of the rainy season is likely to be delayed across much of the eastern parts of the country.
