A class teacher from a public school in Kibera was on Tuesday arraigned for allegedly luring a pupil to appear in school for a CBC project and later sodomizing him.
TS was charged before Kibera senior principal magistrate Esther Boke where he denied the charges.
According to the charge sheet, the accused person committed the offence on September 10 in Kirigu, Mutuini in Dagoretti within Nairobi County.
He was charged with the second count of committing an indecent act with a minor contrary to the sexual offences act.
According to the court papers, the accused person approached the minor on September 9 and told him to appear in school on September 10 for a CBC project.
The minor appeared as advised but on arrival, he was shocked after he realized that he was the only pupil around in the school compound.
He then proceeded to the office where the accused person urged him to wait for him at a certain class for some minutes.
When the teacher paid him a visit, he quickly undressed him, threatened him, and defiled him.
He was arrested after the School deputy President saw what was happening and notified the staff members who in turn cornered him before calling the police officers.
In court, the suspect denied the charges and pleaded for a lenient bond term.
He was released on Sh500, 000 bond with the surety of the same amount.
