Marsabit Governor Mohamud Ali has appealed for help as the drought situation in county continue to worsen.
His appeal comes after cute malnutrition was reported in two of the four subcounties.
"The situation is dire and the county government cannot cope with the demand for water, livestock feed and food," governor Ali said.
"We need urgent help with food rations, animal feeds and water," he added.

He call for help came as President William Ruto directed his deputy Rigathi Gachagua to lead state efforts to mitigate the effects of drought as at least three million Kenyans face starvation.
"We will be rolling the wheels of government to ensure we deliver on all the issues today (Monday)...I have asked my deputy to put together the teams so that we can work on the drought situation that is threatening many people," Ruto said.
He spoke on Sunday when he hosted a thanksgiving prayer service at State House alongside his deputy.
The governor said Marsabit county hasn't received rainfall for the past four years and the trend is worsening in all the four sub counties.
Marsabit NDMA boss Parkolo Mustafa said Laisamis and North Horr subcounties are the worst hit.
"Marsabit county is on alarm stage and the trend is likely to worsen.Most wells and dams dried,a quarter of a million people are at risk of starvation," Mustafa said.
Desperate pastrolists called on the government and well-wishers to scale up intervention.
The decline in livestock prices and increase in food prices continue to undermine the purchasing power of households exacerbating food insecurity in the county.
