President William Ruto on Wednesday held meetings with Sudan President Salva Kiir and Somalia President Hassan Mohamud at Statehouse Nairobi.

"We are working with South Sudan in enhancing intra-African trade through the strengthening of the East African Community and other regional economic blocs in the continent," he said.
With Mohamud, he said the talks were about the security situation in Somalia and the Horn of Africa.
"We will fast track the implementation of the Joint Commission for Cooperation between Kenya and Somalia," he said.
"This will boost trade in Miraa and fish and ease movement between our two nations."
The meetings happened a day after Ruto was sworn in as the fifth president of Kenya.
The event took place at Kasarani stadium.
