The inauguration of the new government could not end without light moments as Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was asked to redo his affirmations.

Rigathi seemed to have lost track of the words to repeat after a wrong paper was placed in what he was reading as he took the oath.

Gachagua seemed to rush the words he was reciting after Chief Registrar of Judiciary Anne Amadi.

He at some point lost track of Amadi's words and recited his own.

"....I will truly and diligently serve the people and the republic of Kenya in the Office of the Deputy President..."

Amadi: "...of the Republic of Kenya"

Gachagua: "That I will diligently..."

Amadi: "...serve the people"

Gachagua: ...discharge my duties and perform my functions in the said office

Amadi then requested they repeat the words but he still went on to recite words that he was reading from a paper placed before him.

Rigathi: "To the best of my judgment..."

Amadi: "I'm sorry let's take it again.."

The crowd was left laughing as the Chief registrar tried to control the moment and the master of ceremony urging the citizens to stay calm.

They had to repeat the entire process.
