List of 16 Kenya Kwanza leaders nominated to Senate, National Assemblies

UDA party received 5 nomination slots to the National Assembly.

IEBC on Wednesday gazetted the list of party nominees to the Senate and National Assemblies ahead of their first sitting Thursday.

In the notice by commission chairperson Wafula Chebukati, parties have nominated 12 members in the National Assembly, 16 women to Senate, two youth representatives to Senate and two nominees to represent persons living with disabilities in Senate.

The Kenya Kwanza camp which is an affiliate of several parties including ANC has bagged six nominees to the National Assembly.

They include five from the UDA party and one from Amani National Congress.

The UDA members are Jackson Kosgei (Person with Disability), Teresia Mwangi (Youth), Abdisirat Khalif Ali (Marginalized), Dorothy Ikiara (Worker) and Joseph Iraya (Worker).

The ANC nominee to the National Assembly is Joseph Hamisi Dener who has been nominated under the category of the community worker.

Kenya Kwanza has eight women nominees to the Senate all of them from UDA.

They are Veronica Nduati, Soipan Tuya, Miraj Abdulrahman, Gloria Orwoba, Joyce Korir, Karen Nyamu, Peris Tobiko and Maureen Mutinda.

Kenya Kwanza's youth nominee to Senate is Raphael Mwinzagu while George Mbugua is the coalition's nominee to Senate to represent persons living with disabilities.
