Natembeya hints at building new technical university in Kitale

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya appears to have rolled up his sleeves and is roaring to go as far as service delivery is concerned.

The former Rift Valley commissioner has hinted at building a new technical university in Kitale as his first project.

“Good morning great people of Trans Nzoia? Tusemezane kidogo, mlisema hii Kitale University of Science and Technology tujenge wapi? Mwananchi mbele mfanyikazi nyuma,” Natembeya said in a tweet on Tuesday.

The tough-talking former administrator has made it clear he won't tolerate unprofessional behaviour, lateness, laziness or slackers of any kind.

On Monday he locked out of a meeting CECs, chief officers and directors for arriving late for the launch of the County Integrated Development Plan at the Aturkan Hotel. 

“When I call a 9 am meeting, I mean 9 am, not 9.01, 9.02 or later,” he said and instructed security to lock out anyone who arrived after him.
