Former IEBC Commissioner Roselyne Akombe on Tuesday mourned the Embakasi East Returning Officer Daniel Mbolu Musyoka.

Akombe took to her Twitter handle to express her grief, describing Musyoka as a dedicated leader.

"Devastated that the missing IEBC RO has been found murdered in a forest. I remember Mbolu as a diligent officer who dedicated his life to public service. I send my deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues," she said.

Akombe further called for speedy investigations into the perceived murder.

Musyoka was on Monday found dead in a thicket in Mariko area, after missing since Thursday, August 11.

He was at the East African School of Aviation tallying centre when he disappeared at 9: 45 am.

The police took his body to Loitokitok Subcounty Hospital mortuary in Kajiado, as they launched an investigation.

Different groups have sent condolences to the victim's family, friends and colleagues as they call on the police IG to deploy his best personnel to investigate.

Among them are leaders from African Women Leaders Network, Women Mediation Network Kenya and Echo Network Africa.

"We call upon our security apparatus to move quickly with investigations and bring the murderers of our children to book," CEO Echo Network Africa Jenifer Riria said.

She said as mothers, Musyoka's death was painful to them.
