UDA leader William Ruto has taken lead in Tetu Constituency, Nyeri County, with a vote count of 31,791.

Ruto's closest rival Raila Odinga of Azimio la Umoja came in second with 5,979 votes.

IEBC High Commissioner Francis Onderi on Saturday said George Wajackoyah of Roots' party got 172 votes.

The Agano party candidate Waihiga David Mwaure had 130 votes.

Onderi said there were 54,986 registered voters of which 38,072 were valid and the rejected votes were 231.
