I respect IEBC verdict, but don't agree with it - Aisha Jumwa

UDA governor candidate Aisha Jumwa has said she will take legal action against the just concluded Kilifi Governor race.

She finished second after getting 65,893 votes against ODM's Gideon Mungaro who clinched the seat with 143,773 votes.

Despite respecting the IEBC verdict, Jumwa said she doesn't agree with it.

"I respect the IEBC verdict, however, not in agreement with it," she added.

However as guided by law, Jumwa said the law stipulates, that she has her constitutional right to pursue justice for herself and to the people of Kilifi.

She thanked the Kilifi people for the support they have shown her.

"Service to humanity is also service to God. I have passionately and diligently served my people in different influences in the political field," Jumwa said.

"I want to take this special opportunity to thank all my supporters who believed in me and voted for me with the overwhelming majority!  Let's continue walking together to our destiny and the victory is all ours," she added.
