Azimio la Umoja running mate Martha Karua has urged Raila Odinga’s supporters to hang in there as IEBC continues to tally the votes.

Karua who was speaking at KICC said they have tallied the results and already knew who the winner was.

“And by the way, we have tallied the results but we can’t announce it,” she said.

"We know where we are and if we had the power, we would have called it ourselves but we will wait."

Karua also asked Kenyans not to lose hope but rather to hang in there.

“Please be upbeat and know that Kenyans gave us the opportunity and we are waiting for the last approve,” she said during the meeting.

“We must jealously guard what is happening at the Bomas. We need to support that price to ensure that it is not infiltrated and not interfered with,” Karua added.

Speaking to Mt Kenya leaders, Karua acknowledged the votes Azimio got.

Despite them not being many as they wanted, she said the 'chest thumping ' from their opponents will be dealt with.

Karua also thanked the leaders who lost their seats and told them no one will be left behind.

In addition, Karua urged the winners to join and support all those who have won and are yet to be issued certificates.

"Immediately after the win, we shall meet again. We really have a lot of work to do to build one people one nation," she said.
