• The incumbent Senator Futuma Dullo has also been elected on the Jubilee ticket alongside former CAS Mumina Bonaya who floored incumbent Woman representative Rahma Dida Jaldesa.

President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party has scooped all the top five elective seats in the just concluded elections in Isiolo County.
Former Nairobi Majority leader Abdi Ibrahim won the Governor seat against in a hot contest with his closest rival and first Governor Godana Doyo.
Guyo garnered 28,946 votes, while Doyo garnered 26,270 votes.
The incumbent Senator Futuma Dullo has also been elected on the Jubilee ticket alongside former CAS Mumina Bonaya who floored incumbent Woman representative Rahma Dida Jaldesa.
Dullo had 29,625 votes against her closest rival Nur Ibrahim's 23,166.
Former Isiolo North MP Samal Lomwa bounced back on a Jubilee ticket while former speaker Mohamed Tupi won the Isiolo South parliamentary seat on the same party.
Isiolo Woman representative Rahma Jaldesa lost the seat to new comer Mumina Bonaya who managed 23,994 votes. Jaldesa had 21,702 votes.
Isiolo County returning officer Samuel Seki declared the candidates and issued the certificates to respective winners.
However, the Jubilee party lost almost all the seats at Ward level to Azimio affiliate parties.
While receiving the certificate, Governor -elect Abdi Guyo hailed Isiolo residents for the overwhelming support and trust and assured that he will serve them fairly and diligently.
"I will honour this privilege to serve all equally and deliver to the best of my ability," Guyo said.
While choosing running mates, Guyo went after the 11,000 Turkana votes by picking James Lowasa after Hudson Kinyua, his first choice, dumped him for Doyo.
In 2017, Dullo was the first woman to be elected senator of Isiolo County.
Dullo’s record of promoting peace between warring clans in Isiolo made the national government to recognise her work and was awarded Mzalendo People’s Shujaa Award for her efforts in championing issues pertaining to security.
She is also a recipient of the Presidential Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (CBS) 2015 award.
Dullo staged a sterling performance in the Senate by making active contributions and fighting for the rights of the poor and marginalised groups, which saw Isiolo residents nick name her “mtetezi wa wanyonge (fighter for the voiceless)’’.
She showed her leadership capabilities at the age of 22 when was recruited as District Officer and rose through the ranks to being appointed a commissioner at the Kenya Human Rights Commission.
Woman representative-elect Mumina Bonaya was 32 years when she was appointed chairperson of Advisory Board of Women Enterprise Fund (WEF).
She served at WEF for three years from 2014 to 2017, devoting her time and energy to ensuring the organisation effectively delivered on its mandate.
Prior to her CAS appointment, Bonaya had taught at Nairobi School and Pangani Girls all in Nairobi before she left teaching to start a community-based organisation (CBO).
She has also served as a program officer for County Climate Change Fund at the Adaptation Consortium.
