It’s not done, till it's done, Karua says as tallying gets underway

Azimio's running mate Martha Karua has urged Kenyans to not speculate any win until the counting of votes is done.

Karua took to Twitter to ask people to remain calm and wait for the final and official results from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

"It’s not done till it’s done," she said.

Karua tweeted hours after media reports showed that Deputy President William Ruto beat his main rival Raila Odinga in Karua’s polling station.

The results started streaming in after the elections which were held on Tuesday, August 9.

Results from Form 34A uploaded by IEBC revealed that Ruto garnered 911 votes against Raila’s 311 votes at Mugumo Primary school.

The school in Gichugu Constituency is where Karua cast her vote, being the first one at the polling station.

Ruto also triumphed at  President Uhuru Kenyatta's polling station,  Mutomo Primary school in Gatundu.

In the forms, Raila got 464 votes while his rival DP William Ruto garnered 983 votes.
