Suna East MP Junet Mohammed has lashed out at Deputy President William Ruto for constantly attacking President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He said Ruto should focus on dealing with Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga since he is the opponent.

Speaking during a campaign rally in Turkana county, Junet said Ruto should not be fighting with President Uhuru as he will not be on the ballot.

Junet was also confident that Raila will win the election and that the power will be handed to him by Uhuru.

This translates to: "I'm telling Ruto and his people, the person who you are competing with is Raila and not Uhuru. Uhuru will be going home on August 9 and will be handing over to Raila in Kasarani. Stop talking about Uhuru every time, he will not be on the ballot, but Raila will".

Junet further said if Ruto has sensed defeat and is afraid of Raila, he should speak up and stop looking for excuses by always talking about Uhuru.

"If you have feared Raila, say the truth. Stop using Uhuru as an excuse every time, I know you are his Deputy and I assure you, both of you will go home in August. We are tired of you always blaming him," he said.
