Nairobi women prefer Raila-Karua ticket - Poll

The number of undecided women remains significant at 13 percent.

Most women in Nairobi City County would prefer a Raila Odinga presidency, if elections were held today.

In poll results released by Infotrak on Wednesday, women said they preferred the Raila-Martha Karua ticket, as opposed to a William Ruto-Rigathi Gachagua ticket.

In the poll, Odinga and Karua had 47 per cent approval, while Ruto and Gachagua had only 29 percent.

However, the number of undecided women stands at 13 percent.

On the other hand, Nairobi men prefer the Raila-Karua ticket with 52 percent in the polls, while those in favour of Ruto-Gachagua form 30 percent.

Wajackoyah had six percent, while Mwaure of Agano had 0.2 per cent.

The undecided figure for men stood at 11 percent.

The survey, self-funded, was conducted between 2-3 July through Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews.

The poll had a margin of error of ±3 per cent.

A total of 1,024 residents of Nairobi county were interviewed from all 17 constituencies and 85 wards.
