Deputy President William Ruto has continued his social media attacks on Raila Odinga over the violence experienced at the Jacaranda grounds, on Sunday.
The DP this time claimed that the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate has refused to stop the use of violence as a means to get power.
"Mr Kitendawili, so much for being clueless, rudderless, and planless about the challenges of our nation and the solutions thereof. The big question Kenyans are asking you, which you have refused to answer, is when are you going to stop using violence as your tool for seeking power???," Ruto tweeted on Monday.
On Sunday, the two engaged in a war of words over Ruto's Jacaranda rally that saw several vehicles in his caravan pelted with stones.
Youths present also engaged in fights forcing the police to respond with tear gas to control the situation.
In his response to earlier claims by Ruto that he had sent the youths to disrupt his meeting, Raila said the deputy president was seeking sympathy votes by blaming everyone over every misfortune that befalls him.
"It’s not okay to be rudderless, clueless and plan-less. This country is slowly overcoming fraudsters and shortcuts that define your politics," Raila said.
"Maliza uende. There is no room for sympathy votes," he added.
The DP on Sunday weathered chaos and stone throwing youths and stormed the historic Jacaranda Grounds after a bid to block him failed.
Police had cancelled the event citing intelligence reports that goons had planned to cause chaos.
All the while, youths allied to Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza and Raila's Azimio battled outside for hours.
Ruto's car was pelted with stones as he made his way into the venue after a meeting of top police officers resolved to allow the rally to proceed despite area MP Babu Owino claiming to have booked the same venue.
Five people were injured in the melee, including the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate in the Embakasi East election, Francis Mureithi.
