A man has been charged at a Kibera court for stealing clothes, sports shoes and cooking pots from a woman’s house.

Patrick Ndolo Musyoki was charged on Monday before Kibera senior resident magistrate Renee Kitagwa. He denied the charges.

Musyoki is said to have committed the offence on April 21, at Southlands Kijijini. 

All the items are said to be worth Sh10, 000.

According to the court documents, the complainant Caroline Mudinda arrived at her house from work and found that it had been broken into.

The court papers say that the complainant had lost her padlock and she was in the process of buying another one when the accused person allegedly raided her home.

He denied the charges and was released on Sh10, 000 cash bail.

The case will be mentioned on May 9.
