ODM chief Raila Odinga has termed the late third President of Kenya Mwai Kibaki as a true freedom fighter who served the country with honesty and transparency.
The Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate said the late president who served the country between 2003 and 2012, was a forthright leader.
“Kibaki is one of the freedom fighters of our country, he served this country for many years with diligence, forthrightness, honesty and transparency,” Raila said.
The ODM boss said when he served with and under Kibaki, the late President was a great team player who inspired his ministers.
“I have had the pleasure of working with Kibaki, first as MP during the 7th Parliament, second as his minister for Roads and Public Works and finally as his Prime Minister where we shared the grand coalition government,” Raila said in his tribute.
“Nobody was better than Kibaki when it came to creating team spirit and in inspiring his ministers.”
I will remember Mzee Kibaki for his unique and admirable style of leadership that singularly focused on the effective management of the affairs of our great nation.
