The Amani National Congress will form 30 per cent of government in the Kenya Kwanza administration, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has said.

Mudavadi said this is the share of cake his collaboration with Deputy President William Ruto will deliver to the Luhya Nation after the August 9 polls.

"I'm not greedy, neither is it about my personal gain. It's about my people and the Luhya Nation at large," Mudavadi said.

He was speaking on Thursday during a stakeholder economic forum in Vihiga County.

Ruto, Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang'ula, MPs Alfred Agoi (Sabatia), Ernest Kagesi (Vihiga), Charles Gimose (Hamisi), Vihiga Woman Rep Beatrice Adagala and a host of MCAs were in attendance.

Mudavadi said his decision to join forces with the DP and support his presidential bid is a sacrifice he made in order to move the Luhya community from where they are.

"My people, where do you and your generations want to be?" he posed.

"What have you gained from Azimio la umoja?"

Mudavadi challenged leaders in the Azimio camp to table what they have for people in western Kenya.

He said the formation under the leadership of Raila Odinga is not a friendly coalition to the Luhya community.

"We have supported the leader for many years and we never gained anything," Mudavadi said.

He said it's time for President Uhuru Kenyatta to go home with his 'project' Raila.

The ANC party boss said Kenyans have suffered a lot under Uhuru's regime than ever before as Kenyans are now struggling with hard economic times.

"We are the only team to destroy Azimio and give Kenyans hope for the future."

Mudavadi said Uhuru is forcing people into Azimio la Umoja yet his backyard leadership is in Kenya Kwanza.

"He is telling us that the government is heading in Azimio yet his people have jumped to Kenya Kwanza," Mudavadi said.

Wetangula accused Uhuru's government of crippling even the poor.

The Bungoma senator said it's time they political class changed the country's politics and empowered the ordinary Kenyan.

"I have been in politics but this time I'm sure we are going to have it," Wetangula said.

He said the Azimio camp will have a rude shock at the ballot as they continue to rely on deep state.

Wetangula said their choice to join Kenya Kwanza will benefit all.

"We are in a house that we have built but your neighbor's house we can't sit," he said.

"The poverty in our region is worsening and we need to work as team to revive our economic problems," he added.

Wetangula rallied the western region to vote overwhelmingly for Ruto saying he has no culture of betraying people.

"We the Luhya community are out of Azimio. It's only Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Uhuru Kenyatta remaining," he said.

"Don't stay home and say Ruto has not passed. Your vote will help him enter the State House," he said.

The Bungoma senator said once elected, the Kenya Kwanza government will revive Kenya's economy.
