Speaking on Sunday during a press address at the Convent International Hotel, Lavington during a Maendeleo Chap Chap Governing Council, the governor said that he is ready for Handshake.

"Let us work together, strategize together and even campaign together because that is the only way we can win. I am ready for a Handshake so that we can forge forward and secure Raila's presidency," Mutua said.

He said that eight political parties who had previously lamented being left out were not satisfied with the three legged stool plan, which has since been rectified.

"There is inclusivity and we are moving forward. That's why I have told Kalonzo to hold my hand as we campaign for Raila. Let us pause our conflicts."

The overnor said that generational change conflicts are nature in politics but the fights are not important.

"Mutua, Kalonzo we are not important. What is important is Azimio wining and Raila becoming the fifth."

Further, he averred that he will support the running mate chosen, if it is not him.

"Whoever becomes the running mate, I will support them. That is democracy. That is how it works."
