Education CS George Magoha has warned Kenyans about unnecessary aesthetic surgeries.

Addressing surgeons at the surgeons’ conference in Mombasa on Wednesday, Magoha advocated for plastic surgeries that are therapeutic.

The CS referred to the late singer Michael Jackson who went for plastic surgery that is believed to have caused his death.

"Now that he is dead, I can talk about Michael Jackson, he was more beautiful before he did all that plastic surgery," Magoha said.

Further, the CS said that he appreciates his looks.

"I know I am not good looking, but I love my face a lot. Even with my big nose, I love my body," Magoha said.

The CS said the plastic surgery that people should emphasize is one that is beneficial to the patients, for example, those with a lot of burns on their body.

Magoha urged doctors to be considerate in their pricing for the surgeries noting that operations that can be done in Kenya are done in India at half the price.
