The Democratic Action Party Kenya (DAP-K) leaders on Monday urged Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to back Raila Odinga’s presidency unconditionally.

The leaders further slammed Kalonzo for the ultimatums he has been issuing to ODM leader Raila Odinga and asked him to stop insisting on the name Azimio-OKA coalition.

“What if we start calling the alliance Azimio -DAP?” they posed.

Speaking in a Kisii County during the Azimio rally, DAP-K leader Wafula Wamunyinyi urged the former Vice President to join Azimio wholeheartedly.

“We know One Kenya Alliance fell apart when (ANC leader Musalia) Mudavadi and (Ford Kenya Moses) Wetangula resolved to support UDA. If you want to join Azimio la Umoja, do it wholeheartedly,” Wamunyinyi said.

He expressed his gratitude for Kalonzo’s support, establishing that the alliance wants to ‘walk with him’.

The DAP-K leaders urged Kisii residents to vote for Raila and not let the Kenya Kwanza coalition infiltrate the region.

This comes days after Kalonzo warned of dire consequences if the name of the coalition doesn't change to Azimio-One Kenya.

Kalonzo was speaking to Citizen TV on Friday when he said the signed agreements for the three-legged stool dubbed the coalition as Azimio-One Kenya.

He said that the name should stick otherwise he would tell the whole country that someone will mess the coalition up.

"I cannot have just Azimio la Umoja. I will tell the whole county that someone wants to mess up and I am sure they will agree with me,” he said.

The wiper leader has however maintained his resolve to continue supporting Raila's bid.
